ATLANTA — Business mogul Daymond John brought his marketplace acumen along with his business evaluation expertise perfected on the ultra-popular “Shark Tank” TV series to Atlanta to help find the next great entrepreneurs during the The Miller Lite “Tap the Future”®business plan competition at the Opera nightclub.
Returning for its its third year, MillerCoors and Miller Light stopped off in the ATL during its national tour of select U.S. cities for its ‘Live Pitch Event’ tour to find the most original business ideas. Five semifinalists from the Atlanta region and the surrounding states delivered their best business pitches in front of a live audience for a chance to win big money for their small businesses.
The entrepreneurs received evaluations and feedback from some of the sharpest business minds in the country, including lead judge Daymond John from ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Sitting with him in the judge’s chairs were Sulaiman “Su” Sanni and Ben Lamson Marve Frazier, chief creative officer of Moguldom Media Group and CEO of Bossip.com. The event will be hosted by Kenny Burns, senior vice president of marketing for Revolt TV, author of “The Dream is Real” and founder of the lifestyle, online magazine.
The semifinalist who comes out on top will receive $20,000 and advance to the national finals where they will compete for a grand prize of $200,000.
