Creative loafing – Gilles rides ‘Windows Down, Tinted Out’

There’sclatlcom-logo something refreshing about a song that’s lyrical content isn’t confined to preconceived notions that might come with its title. At first glance, the name “Windows Down, Tinted Out” brings out thoughts of tattooed gangster rappers riding around and getting it, but Gilles, and this Tha Radio-produced track doesn’t exactly follow that blueprint. Instead, the lawyer by day MC by night, raps of “riding two trains listening to 2 Chainz – Playaz Circle era,” dining on Easy Mac, and using the film Belly as an aphrodisiac.

This is the first release from Gilles forthcoming album, Super., out later this summer.
